Psychological services for adults (18+) who are experiencing a range of difficulties including mood disorders, trauma reactions & relationship difficulties
I am a registered psychologist and member of the Australian Psychological Society with a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology attained from Curtin University in Western Australia. I have experience in the public mental health sector working within the forensic field with substance abuse and trauma as well as experience in private practice working with a broad range of difficulties including mood disorders, trauma, substance abuse, personality disorders, grief, stress, and relationship difficulties. I have a particular interest in marital and relationship therapy.
I use evidence based treatments in assisting adults with a broad range of difficulties and believe that good mental health is essential in gaining the most out of life. I recognise that every individual is unique as are their experiences and perceptions. My approach is therefore client-centered whilst encouraging the individual to challenge themselves and their established patterns. I use an eclectic mix of therapies based on each individual’s unique needs and wants. I recognises that all individuals have both strengths and limitations and that it can be how we have learned to perceive these aspects in ourselves that drives the manifestation of psychological difficulties or psychological health.
